New Quarantine Hobbies

As we all hunker down to help stop the spread of COVID-19, I'm trying to start some new hobbies. I've always loved birds, so I thought now would be a good time to start bird watching whenever we go on our daily stroll through the woods.

Bird watching is harder than I thought though. Birds move too fast! So far I've been pretty unsuccessful, and I feel the birds are social distancing from me.

I like the concept and layout of this sketch, but think I messed up on the colors. I might redo it digitally sometime in my indefinite free time.

I then drew another sketch of our new favorite activity: ice kayaking! The lake here is still mostly covered in ice, but we were desperate to get out so we kayaked in what little parts were unfrozen and hacked away at the ice.

In the end I abandoned the drawing because I didn't like how it was turning out. The quality of the drawing does not reflect the joy of ice kayaking.
